"I was one of the early beneficiaries of this fabulous teamwork between Dr. Oxford and Dr. Shemanski. I had a cat whom I adored; I was willing to drive 5 hours round trip to make sure he got the best care for his heart condition. I met Dr. Oxford and not only is she a wonderful cardiac vet specialist, but she is also warm and caring so I was ready to miss a day of work and drive to wherever she was. Then I met Dr. Shemanski who is right here in town.
She is so terrific. I brought my cat to her and she patiently took the needed pictures of him and eased my concerns. She is warm and wonderful, quickly wrote up a report that had all the needed information for Dr. Oxford, and together they provided me with a treatment regime. If I ever again have a pet with a cardiac problem I will run to these two women to take care of any animal I love.
I feel so grateful to them, and hope that for any of you who need this kind of care for your pet this can ease your mind that your pet will be in the very best of hands”
“My daughter Julia and I had brought our sweet cat, Ben, in to see you 3-4 times for ultrasounds for a pyloric mass. We hadn’t seen you in quite some time but wanted to give you an update. Ben is doing amazing!! He’s a hefty 13lb, hasn’t vomited in at least 2 months and is a sweet, lovable boy when no one is looking. He doesn’t like PDA. “I wanted to give some pawsitive news. Hooligan is doing very well. We are amazed and grateful for every minute with this sweet boy lovebug.
One of his favorite places to walk and take a dip in the water is Vitale Park in Lakeville. He has many four legged and two legged friends there who've been rooting for him. We happened to come across a Dog Parade for the Livonia Public Library , and he won "Most Distinguished."
The pimobendan and furosemide have done wonders for him, as do the raw venison and sardines that he loves. We can ignore the pungeant odors .
Just wanted to thank you so much for giving us guidance. We are grateful for the advances in treatment for canine heart diseases. I know tomorrow is never promised. We are so grateful for the 5+ months we've had and hopefully will still have.
